Chidera Onyebuchi is a 19-year-old Nigerian writer who discovered her love for the art of writing at the age of 10. She started telling stories when she was a child and began writing in secondary school. She grew into a tough world where her life became immersed in a roller coaster of drama after her husband leaves her pregnant and broken. When she decided it was time to find herself and the past she’d lost, she leaves Warri for Lagos where she embarks on a life changing experience and a new phase of life. Oghenegaren got caught up in lies, betrayal and drama. Along the way, life changing secrets are revealed with terrible consequences that nearly destroys her dreams as she struggles with the will to face all the obstacles and accept the love of the new people she choose to call her family.

Chidera Onyebuchi is also an author at Creative freelance writers. One of her short stories was shortlisted for the Teecocks Initiative Creative Writing Competition in 2014. ”Meant to fly”, a short story of hers was shortlisted for the Freedom Magazine Literary award in 2018. She was also second runner up at the Lekeku Writer’s League Competition in the 2018 season.
