Seeds Of Gladness
with your love, like light
of day, you fill me slowly
to the brim, body and soul
as rivers on rainy days
your sweetness, jar of fresh
wine, full-strength, bubbling
in my belly, beckon to fireflies
and to butterflies to fly low
come home, perch and smell
your sweet scent, to drink
and drown away the secrets
hidden in the circumference
of their teary transiency
my jewel, soft in the skin
metallic in the soul, wearing
white lights like rare earth
elements of lanthanum mould
you met me feeble, a fated
flower in the wild on a day
of drought, dying for drops
of dew on my shrivelling
leaves, on my burning roots
you came, closer, wellspring
of joy, with a sword slaying
my sadness, sowing in me
seeds of immortal gladness
