Our Hungry Man Food! Indomie Noodles, recently rewarded Nigerian youths on social media as it seeks more ways to interact with its teeming consumers at their passion point. The brand used the opportunity to improve on its brand equity with consumers creating several engagement platforms.
Some of the platforms were: comedy – “Belleful Comedy Challenge” which saw over 20 consumers win mobile phones, headphones and a year’s supply of Indomie Bellefull; football fans – “Indomie on EPL Pitch Panel”, the brand gave out 353 cartons monthly to 530 EPL match winners with over 1,060 cartons already won.There was also the “Guess the Advert Lyrics” that enabled consumers to guess the lyrics of jingles in order to win. Thousands of young Nigerians throng the social media handle to engage with the brand by answering teasers and questions about Indomie Instant Noodles.
Frustrated Nigerian Youths Call For National Revolution
Some Frustrated Nigerian youths have been expressing their frustrations about the failings of government in Nigeria using the hashtag #OurMumuDonDo on Twitter. The #OurMumuDonDO movement is aimed at overhauling the docility of Nigerian youths and holding government accountable for their malfeasance and failure to competently cater for the suffering peoples of Nigeria by occupying and demanding for good governance and ample representation of the youths in governance. #OurMumuDonDo has been trending on Twitter for weeks with the number of Nigerian youths expressing their frustration increasing daily.
Scrabble: Nigeria will retain position as World’s Number 1
Mr Olatunde Oduwole, the 2016 National Scrabble Champion on Monday expressed optimism that Nigeria would retain the world scrabble title won two years ago. Oduwole told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that all Nigeria needed was to work hard to defend the title. “We are going to play the qualifier, and hopefully I will try my best to qualify and show to the world once again that I can do it. “When we get there, we have lots of tasks. We don’t have to relent because we won the world championship.
“So we are going there with our best, pray hard, not just praying, we need to work hard then you now compliment it with prayers, God’s favour, and be able to do it once again, which is possible. “We will try and do something once again to shock the world. NAN reports that the Scrabble World Championship is slated to hold in Kenya by September.
Ambode donates N55m to families of slain security officers
Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday presented cheques totaling N55 million to the families of security officers who lost their lives in the Ishawo area of Ikorodu after an ambush unleashed on them by militants. The families of four police officers that died during the operation got N10 million each, while an officer who sustained injury during the attack and still recuperating in the hospital, Sgt. Alexandra Ugadu got N5million. Also, a cheque of N10 million was presented to the family of a military officer, Capt. A Mohammed who lost his life during the attack. The gallant officers were killed after successfully rescuing kidnapped victims kept in the riverine area by the militants.
