Welcome to the brand design class! Actually, this is supposed to be called the graphic design class but “The Brand Artist” sounded very cool so I though to stick with that.
Call me the Brand Artist. I have been a graphic designer for seven years; an editor for a University newspaper, Art director and Head Designer of Studiotwo Creative Agency. Right now, I’m a freelancer (long story for another day) and I run my own creative studio; Studiotwo designs.
In this class we’ll go through the different forms of graphic design,(they are too numerous to name but we will take as many as possible); typography, print design, brand identity design, character design, animation, digital art etc.
After that, we will go through the principles that guides all of them.
We will also attempt to answer various questions like:
-What makes a design stand out?
-Why do some brand identities last longer than others?
-How does color affect the emotions of people and how can that help a brand gain attention and stick to people’s memory?
We will go through the underworld of bad designs, discover what made them bad and try to reform them.
This is an introductory class so just introduce yourself in the comment section so that I know you are following. I have inserted some in my designs between the text. Tell me what you think about them.
If you have questions or suggestions, drop them in the comment section. Tell a friend or two about this class and I will see you next time.
P.S: The featured image is a personal design. I hope you like it.
